Journals

The Institute publishes some 50 journals covering most areas of physics and its interfaces with other sciences.  Most of the journals are available as both hard copy and electronically.  Click here  for full information on all the journals.  Members may purchase subscriptions to up to three journals each year at specially discounted rates, subscriptions include on-line access to the journal (for the current and last ten years)

Electronic Journals from the Institute of Physics for members

• all tables of contents and abstracts in IOP journals - back to 1874;
• access to Physics Education online including all volumes since 1966 (username and password controlled, restricted to personal use only);
• if you have purchased IOP member rate journal subscriptions for this year you have online access to the current volume and a 10-year archive (where applicable) for the journal/s purchased (username and password controlled, restricted to personal use only)
• if you have purchased the Historic Archive at the member rate you have access (username and password controlled, restricted to personal use only)
• IOP's Electronic Journals search facility and e-mail alerting services
• Free full text access for all papers published in New Journal of Physics (NJP). NJP is a free electronic only title, co-owned by the Institute and Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft.
• All papers chosen for IOP Select are also free to access, as are papers published in the last 30 days in This Month's Papers.
